As one of Singapore's major home-grown building construction groups with integrated civil engineering, engineering and construction support service capabilities, our Group is principally involved in the construction of residential, industrial and commercial projects and civil engineering projects as a main contractor.

Incorporating our flagship company, Lian Beng Construction (1988) Pte Ltd (LBC) in April 1988, our Group has been providing building construction services since 1973. With an A1 and A2 grade registration with the Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in General Building and Civil Engineering respectively, we are allowed to tender for public sector's building projects with unlimited contract value and civil engineering projects with contract valued up to $105.5 million.

In 1996-1997, following the rapid expansion of our building activities, two new engineering arms were incorporated to diversify into the provision of construction services such as scaffolding, leasing of metal formworks as well as leasing of construction machinery and equipment. This expansion also helps to complement our building construction operations.

Amidst the growth in businesses, our Group was listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange in 1999 and we began to diversify into the property development market. We went a step further in 2004 when we did a regional diversification into Indonesia. In line with our growth strategy to explore potential diversification opportunities both in Singapore and in the region, the Group was subsequently awarded a housing project in the Republic of Maldives for its tsunami-hit victims in 2006 and a community and educational buildings project and wastewater disposal/collection project for the same island in 2007.

Housed in a five storey corporate building, our Group currently has more than 500 staff strength in our workforce.
